We believe it is only because of all the suppport, prayer and love that you all have shown us that we were able to find strength to make it through our first day home. Today was difficult as we woke up knowing that our baby girls obituary would be in the paper- a link is provided below for anyone who wants to view it. Tomorrow will be even harder as we prepare for their graveside service. We know that everyone wants to know what they can do to help us and the only thing we can think of is to shower us with prayers of peace. And please remember our families need prayers too as they are also struggling through this tragedy just as much as we are.

It is with great sadness that I write this but today Alexcyn went to be with her Father in Heaven. We thank God for the three days of utter joy that we where able to spend with her. She went in peace and we are confident that she is on God's lap with her sister Brooke. We could not have gotten through this without all our family and friends praying and being there for us. We are so loved and humbled by the kindness you have all shown. Please pray for us as we try and find strength to move forward.

As I look for strength from the Lord on this grim day
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
Today is a day of waiting. Pastor Frank came and baptized Alexcyn and we all stood around her in her incubator. She is defanantly a child of God but she now has everything going against her.
so please pray for any hope.

A new day
Last night instead of going home the nurses snuck us in a room so we didn't have to be far from Alexcyn. While the room is small and my back may never be the same I am greatfull for all the wonderfull people in this hospital. Today we gave Brooke a middle name (Janae) which means gift from God. She was truly a gift from God even if we did not get to watch her grow. She will forever be in our hearts. As for Alexcyn she is holding her own for now. There has really been no change. We are just trying to do as much research as we can and ask a lot of questions. Pray we do and say the right things to make Alexcen's life as easy and painless as possible.

I know y0u all are praying really hard and Krista and I are so greatfull. We have the greatest friends on Earth. Things are unfortuanatly taking a turn for the worst. They did a brain scan of Alexcyn and it showed major bleeding on both sides. Her brain is being presured from one side so her brain is not forming equally. Also her lungs are not functioning properly. We where told by the doctor that we may have to make a decision on her in the next couple days as she is not well. We are not even in the right mind to do such a thing so pray God gives us the strength to do the right things.
Today is a new day. We hung out with Alexcyn all night last night. She is doing well with the exception of her lungs. They are very underdeveloped and she is having a hard time getting rid of her Carbon Doixide but the Doctors here are so great and we are so thankfull for them. Today we get to go home. This will be both happy and sad for us as we will be farther away from Alexcyn but we won't be stuck in a hospital. I think we will be staying most of the day so we can see Alexcyn as long as possible. Again, thank you for all you continued prayers.

Baby Girls
I wanted to let everyone know that we had our baby girls last night. The labor came on suddenly and after a fast elevator ride to labor and delivery and one push, Brooke Janae Schrotenboer was born. She was with us only a short time before she went to be with our Lord. Jason and I were able to spend some time with her and our Pastor Frank and Pastor Mark ,who married us, were able to come in and pray for her. Only a short time later Alexcyn Grace was born. She weighed in at 1 pound 2 oz and is a little fighter. She is downstairs in the NeoNatal unit and is doing as good as can be expected for such a tiny baby. We are so blessed to have so many friends and family members who have been there with kind words and prayers during this difficult time. There are so many of you that we just can't quite thank you all personally, but just know that it means so much to us to have you out there as our prayer warriors. Please keep Alexcyn in your prayers as every hour is so precious in her development.
We will keep you as updated as possible.
