Babies First Wedding!

I was blessed to be a part of my friend Beth's wedding this weekend. The babies were very good for their first starring role as bridesmaid! I was worried about all the usual issues I have these days- morning sickness, frequent trips to the bathroom, feeling faint, etc... but I am happy to report that there were no issues and I was able to enjoy every moment of Beth's special day. I have added a few pics of the wedding just for fun.

Two active babies!

I finally had my first appt with my OB and I just love her! She was so excited and wanted to see the babies herself so she brought me to the ultrasound room and just oohhed and aahhed over the babies. At one point I thought she was more excited than I was!! They have grown so much since the last time we saw them- although they really still look like blobs to me! They were actually moving all around this time which was pretty cool to see. She didn't measure them or anything but said that their hearts were beating away and that everything looked good. I will post the pics once I get home.

I go back for my next appt in 4 weeks.

P.S. Beth L- I have actually lost more weight- she said it was totally common, but she recommended I eat more calories- bring on the doughnuts!!

No Appointment for me today...

I got to the office and they let me sit there for 5 minutes before they told me they tried to call me at home and let me know that the dr was busy delivering 6 babies today and that I had to reschedule. Very frustrating... Reschedule is for Friday.

Appointment tomorrow

Tomorrow is my first appointment with my OB. I am not sure what she is going to do, but I am guessing she will answer some of my (and your) questions about how often I go to the DR, when my next ultrasound will be, etc, etc... These appts are always a little nervewracking for me because I get nervous that something is wrong and of course Jason can't go with me to this one so I am on my own. Please say a little pray for me for tomorrow that my fears will be calmed and that I will hear two strong heartbeats again.

Answers to FAQ

I have had several people ask me the following questions so I thought I would post them here because I am sure you all want to know the answers as well...

How are you feeling? Not so good. Week 9 has been great so far- no trips to the porcelin God yet but I have found that you just never know when it will sneak up on you.

Are you finding out what the sexes are? YES- I am way too impatient not to!

Are you quitting your job? Not sure- I will figure that out once we get closer. We are really just trying to take this one step at a time and not to rush things.

Are you breastfeeding? I am shocked by the amount of people that ask this question!!! I have no idea... but if Jason gets his way then yes.

8 Week Ultrasound

We went in for our 8 week ultrasound on April Fools Day. Dr Young attempted to look for a third, but we weren't falling for that joke! We got to see and hear the heartbeats again at this appointment. Baby A was 177 and Baby B was 168. This was our last appt with Dr Young and it was kind of bittersweet saying goodbye. That office did so much for us- they gave us babies! I would highly recommend them to anyone who is out there dealing with infertility- they treat you with complete respect and never make you feel different because you can't get pregnant on the first try. Our next appt is April 16 with our OB- Dr Gootjes.
