4 months

Ashton Nowell, you are growing up way too fast!  I really think I must be dreaming because there is no way it has been 4 months since we first met you!  This is what you have been up to this past month...

*you still love your baths.  You get in there and kick and splash water like crazy.

*you are wearing size 2 diapers, size 3 or 3-6 month clothes.

*you still eat 4 ounces every 2-3 hours during the day and 6 ounces before bed at night.

*you take a morning nap, a long afternoon nap and you sleep from 9:30pm to 8am.  We are SO thankful that you like to sleep at night considering at his 4 month check up, Grant still wasn't sleeping through the night!

*you have gone from being a content and happy baby to a fussy baby.  We are not sure what is going on in your little body, but something is bothering you.  We are hoping to increase your reflux meds at your appt next week to see if that helps.

*we also suspect you may be getting a tooth already.  I am still in denial because it seems way too early, but I do admit that I see a white spot under your gums on the bottom.  This is also a possibility for your fussiness!

*along with that note, you started chewing on your hands like crazy a couple weeks ago.  We bought you a Sophie Giraffe to chew on but it quickly went MIA and hasn't returned yet.  It might be time to give in the towel and buy a new one!

*you started sitting up in your bumbo this month.  You like it for a few minutes, but as witnessed in this picture you still aren't too sure what is going on...

*you discovered your feet this month and like to try to reach out and grab them.

*you like to hold onto your paci and your bottle and on occasion will take them out of your mouth and put them back in all by yourself.

*you had your first illness besides a runny nose.  You had diarrhea for 3 weeks straight.  Yes, I said 3 weeks.  We went through more diapers, wipes and desitin than we ever thought possible!  When we were finally to the point where the dr said we should do blood tests, you stopped.

*you are still very ticklish.  Whenever we change your clothes, you laugh like crazy because your most sensitive area is under your arms.

*you started lifting your head up when you are in your swing and bouncy.  And, you are so close to rolling over.  These are steps I am not prepared for!

*you love your brother and I can already see you interacting with him when he gets close to you.

the only thing these two share is the color of their eyes!

We love you so much and can't wait to see what next month brings!
