cottage week

The last week in July we headed up north for our annual cottage week with J's family.  We must be on Mother Nature's good side because after such excruciatingly hot weeks, this one was absolutely beautiful.  I even put on a sweatshirt at one point!  When you are staying in a cottage with no air, this is a really big deal.  The kids had so much fun swimming in the lake and playing in the large yard in front of our cottages.  Ashton enjoyed eating every kind of yucky thing he could find in the yard.  I was definitely yearning for next year when he won't be at ground level with the urge to put everything in his mouth.

Our attempt to keep Ashton in one place for at least a few minutes!

I love to take these pictures on the dock every year to see how much these adorable boys have grown.

I took this same pic last year.  Amazing the difference a year makes.  I tried to add the pic from last year, but blogger is cranky and won't let me.

We had two new kid friendly tubes this year.  Needless to say, we went through a lot more gas than in previous years.  Pretty sure the boat was going all day long.  Grant loves going fast so of course, it was hard to get him off of these to give other people a turn!

It was a fabulous week and we are already looking forward to next year!
